The Full Loop
RoomDrop connects three parties — the food delivery platform, a campus runner, and you — through a single automated flow.Step by Step
1. You place an order on DoorDash or Uber Eats
Open your usual delivery app and place an order. When the app asks for a delivery contact phone number, enter your personal RoomDrop number (found in the iOS app under your profile). Your delivery address can be the dorm building — just make sure the contact number is your RoomDrop number, not your personal cell.2. Your RoomDrop number receives the SMS
When the delivery driver picks up your order and marks it as on the way, DoorDash or Uber Eats sends an automated text to your contact number. RoomDrop’s backend receives that SMS and parses it to extract your order details.3. A drop is created and posted
RoomDrop creates a drop in the system — including your room number, building, and any delivery notes you’ve saved. The drop is immediately visible to verified runners on your campus.4. A runner accepts
A runner nearby — a verified student who has been onboarded and granted building access — accepts your drop in the iOS runner app. You’re notified that a runner is on the way.5. Pickup at the entrance
The driver arrives at your building’s entrance or lobby. The runner meets them there, confirms the order, and takes possession.6. Delivery to your door
The runner brings your food straight to your room. You can chat with your runner in real time through the app.7. Payment and payout
After delivery, RoomDrop charges your saved card **1, 3). Your runner receives $3.00 flat plus 100% of any tip you leave, paid out via Stripe.Supported Delivery Platforms
