Step 1: Download the app

Download on the App Store. RoomDrop requires iOS 17 or later.

Step 2: Create your account

Sign in with your phone number. RoomDrop uses phone-based authentication — no password needed.

Step 3: Add your delivery address

  1. Open Account → Delivery Preferences
  2. Add your dorm building and room number
  3. Set it as your primary address
This is the address your runner will deliver to. You can save multiple addresses (e.g., different dorms, your apartment) and switch between them.

Step 4: Find your RoomDrop number

Before each order, open the RoomDrop app to get a number for your drop. Your number is shown on the home screen — copy it and use it as the delivery contact when placing your order on DoorDash or Uber Eats.
RoomDrop numbers are assigned per order, so always grab a fresh one from the app before you check out.

Step 5: Place an order

  1. Open DoorDash or Uber Eats
  2. Build your order normally
  3. At checkout, change the delivery contact phone number to your RoomDrop number
  4. Complete your order
Make sure the delivery address is set to your building — RoomDrop works best when the driver is actually coming to your campus. The key is the contact number, not the address.

Step 6: Wait for your runner

Once you’ve placed your order, RoomDrop is watching for the delivery notification. It can take up to 10 minutes for your delivery service to send the text after you place the order — that’s normal. When we receive it, a drop is created and posted to runners on your campus. You’ll be notified in the app when a runner accepts. You can track status and chat with your runner in real time. That’s it — food at your door.
